To believe is an amazing action and ability. Through faith, faith in God that is, we are able to pass from death to life and to do the very works of Christ Himself. This is a faith primer. The purpose is to help with the basics of faith. When we understand the basics of faith, we have all faith for faith is always basic. How do we receive? We believe. In what or whom do we believe? We believe on Christ. What happens as a result of believing on Christ is as limitless as the very promises of God. All that God can do and has done is discovered through this simple act of belief. To receive we believe. When we believe, we receive.

There is a difference between knowledge and understanding. While knowledge does not always lead to understanding, understanding always leads to knowledge. With this in mind we have long made the Gospel much too complicated. Everything about the Gospel is simple, which includes faith! The reason that faith has seemed so complicated is that many only seek knowledge and gain no understanding, so they follow a process instead of living in faith. Every process has a flaw, as not every “way” to believe works in every situation. Yet simple faith works every time for it is all that is required to receive from God. When we understand, we can believe. When we believe, all things are possible!

This is a prophetic word given on December 16, 2007 after the church shooting in Colorado, about the times that we are in at this very moment in time and concerning things to come. While this short word points out hard things to come it is mostly about the promise for those that believe on and find their refuge in Christ.

The search for answers seems to never end. The world is in a constant search for hope, help, and health; and this we understand for in darkness there are no satisfying answers. Yet the search seems to be continual in the the church as well; this we should not understand. The Word of God is complete with answers for every part and parcel of life. There are shadows of answers and hard fast answers. The Word tells us of promises and times to come full of answers. Many point to feasts and fasts, certain prayers, methods of warfare and confession, and still we all search on. There is a Word given for every need in God’s Word, but there is also one Word that is made more clear than the others. There is one method that will never fail to bring an answer. There is a more sure Word.

What does Jesus want? It is a big question that many ponder over for years. We theorize, discuss, argue, and even go to war over this one question. Many claim to know the answer through their study and searching of greater minds, but today we take a simpler approach. We look into the Word of God and find out what Jesus wants through learning what He is looking for on this earth. Jesus never wondered if He would find good deeds, moral behavior, or most of the other attributes that we major on in religion. Christ was looking for that one response that would cover all ground and bring the believer into the fullness of God Himself. We do not often seek the fullness of God, though it is plainly given to us, at least by the testimony of the scripture, but if we will believe we can act on all that we have from God in Christ. The results of us fulfilling this one desire of Christ would change not only the world but it would drastically change what many call church. There is an answer to all things, that answer is found in Christ and shown through what He is looking for on earth this very day.
