It can no longer be denied, the world has changed around us and is continuing to change. People do not want to hear but that changes nothing. Governments have few solutions and will eventually find that the solutions that they do have will do little or nothing to help. This age (not the world but the age) is coming to an end. The promise of the Lord is sure and will not fail. Yet that promise works not just for the end of the age but also for the care of Believers during all times and situations. Yet how do we enact the promises of God? We lay down our lives to find the life of Christ.

There have been many times when we have noted changes in Prophetic seasons. Two of the most notable have been the establishment of the nation of Israel and when Jerusalem returned to Israel’s hands. Since that time there have been many notable events but no truly new seasons. If we take the aforementioned events, the establishment of Israel and the recapture of Jerusalem as the beginning of Winter and Spring respectively, have we now entered summer?

This month, September 2008, we have had several earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, typhoons, continued droughts, and many other worldwide weather related events. Energy needs are still front page news. Food supplies and the resulting costs are edging many countries to riots and governmental collapse.  Russia has set herself against the Western world and is now an aggressive force. The Prime Minister of Israel is on his way out. Add to all stated, (of course there are many other items to point out), the new fears and realities over worldwide financial markets and it seems as though summer might be near!

God approaches man from the understanding that we need Him. Man approaches God too often as though He is only one among many choices. God lives to give to man all that we need. Man lives in a mode of independence and compromise that fails us in our relationship with God. In our reasoning with God we must reason based on how He reasons. He does not reason as men do, He has no need to do so. God reasons based on His ability, His power, and His love concerning our need. When we learn how to reason with God we learn what to expect from Him and how to approach Him. When we know how to approach God our faith soars and we know how to receive from God.

Christ has received and holds all authority. The Church stands in the authority of Christ. Every Believer stands in the authority of Christ. The power of the name of Jesus carries the authority of Christ into every situation and over every enemy. Authority has been given to the Church in Christ, but how is it given and how does it flow in and through the Body? To understand the flow of authority is to understand the structure of the Body and the very basics of the principle of authority. Our ability to use authority stands in direct proportion to the level that we will be under authority. The flesh resists but the spirit will thrive.

Faith is made to be such a work and burden. Faith is the exercise of our belief in Christ. For faith to receive it must have as its object Christ. To believe on Christ in such a way as to receive every time then we must understand His authority. As we understand authority and how all of creation falls under the realm of authority we can begin to see faith as more than a power to elevate hope. When the place of authority is understood then faith becomes the natural outflow of that understanding. Authority is everything in this life and as  a believer in Christ we stand in all authority. We have authority to receive every answer as promised in the Bible. Yet if we do not understand authority then we will never understand the reality or workings of faith.
