The temptation is to always migrate away from the core subject matter. The Gospel to many is something that we hear and move on to deeper and more relevant discussions. Yet all is in the Gospel! While there are many areas to enlarge upon, no subject is deeper than the message of Christ for all is in Him, of Him, and through Him. To understand the unfettered access that we have with the Father through faith in Jesus is to understand the heart and intention of God toward man. We can go as deep as we like into the love of God and there we will find the message of hope and grace in Jesus. That is the Gospel which is Good News!

The world has changed and many in the church still seem to be looking for answers. Our answer is found in the covenant that we have with God in Christ. God is still answering prayer and keeping His Word. The lament is that so many preach a message of works and fantasy that hurt many people that want to trust in God. The word of God is plain and His desire is to be a true helper to His people. There are many hard sayings that we look at but in the end it is always God’s goodness that brings every thing to a close!

Through faith in Christ we live in a covenant relationship with God. While our covenant in Christ comes with many promises, all are based on the promise that when we call on the name of Christ we will receive our answer. To call is not to simply include Jesus in our list of helps but to call on Him exclusively. To stand in true faith in Christ takes a confident expectation in Christ. If we live expectantly in Christ them we will never be ashamed of our stand for God will never fail us! One way to say it is that if we will fully believe in Christ then we will find that we are always answered. (Includes communion service.)

Though everything around us seems to be failing God remains the same. He is the very present help in trouble. God is a covenant God. He gives and He answers according to His covenant. We ask according to our need which puts our expectation of God on our level. Faith pleases God. Our faith must be in Him according to what He has promised. His covenant with man is in Christ. The guarantee of His covenant is Christ. In Christ we are brought into the covenant. If we will live and ask according to the covenant we are guaranteed our answer.
