In this word we look ahead into the upcoming year. We look into the economy of course but also the spiritual alternative that will drive an empty world. There is insight for parents that are waiting on unsaved adult children to believe as well as a look into the church and the plans that God has for those that have been laboring without support in His word. We get a startling glimpse into how this will affect entire regions and even countries. The correct emphasis on living and giving for the times we live in as well.

The birth of Jesus changed the history of man. His death changed the life of man. His resurrection changed everything forever. In Christ is the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. While these blessings of faith are the focus of the Christmas season they are not the only benefit of the birth, death, and life of Jesus the Anointed One, the Son of God and the Son of Man.

That many will miss the rapture of the Church and be left behind is a sad undeniable truth of this life. (Yes, many disbelieve the rapture of the Church but the evidence for it is great.) Of course no one has to miss the rapture but if you do here is a teaching that may help you during those terrible days to come once the Church is gone and the wrath of God is poured out on this earth. (When will that be? As the world is turning right now it could be sooner than many would like!) The first thing to do if you have missed the rapture is to believe on Jesus as your Savior and Lord which is the very thing that you do to make the rapture.

Everyone wants to have the experience of the gifts of the Holy Spirit being in full operation in their churches. Some are afraid of them, others think that they can only be demonstrated by the apostle, prophet, evangelist, or pastor; yet a church can only be complete when every member of the Body is fulfilling their ministry.There is a Biblical model on how to order and to allow all to flow in their gifts. When this model is encouraged and followed the flow and order of the Holy Spirit should bring to pass the every promise and work within the Body of Christ.

The Holy Spirit is essentially God with us on the earth at this time. Jesus walked with the disciples but the Holy Spirit indwells disciples today. Does this place the Holy Spirit above Jesus? No, the Holy Spirit reveals Jesus to believers. We cannot fully know, understand or believe in Jesus without the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit is so vital to the Church and yet so misunderstood and even feared. There is much understanding given to us about His work on this earth in God’s word.

Faith is the mechanism that makes all work in our lives. Some see faith as hard and something that must be continually worked on while others see it simply as something that some have that most do not have. The proper perspective on faith is that which sees all as having do with Jesus. He is the object of our faith as well as the Author and Finisher of our faith . In this understanding it is easy to see that faith must be on Him as well as rest in Him. When we also include that faith in Jesus is not only believing on Him but also all that the Father has provided in Him, then we come to an amazing perspective on faith.
