Jesus came to give us entry into a Kingdom. As Believers we dwell in a Kingdom. Sadly, very few understand the very Kingdom that we are part of through faith in Jesus. To most it is easier to understand how their church works but the workings of a particular church may have little or nothing to do with God’s Kingdom and its principles.

If a lion was roaring outside your home, would you go outside to look or would you stay where it was safe? The roar has a certain attraction. It can mean death, dismemberment, pain, and multiplied sorrows but we like to see. It is the same with the devices of satan. We should never let a hungry lion even close, but we get curious, want to help or just interfere and in so doing we become food for the lion. So many bad things and problems are avoidable if we will resist the temptation to investigate the roar.

It is impossible to fully and completely serve God through the Law or tradition. In fact, when we try to fulfill the Law we will only enter into condemnation as it is impossible to fully keep the Law. Granted, most never try to keep the full Law but live under a mix of Law and tradition, (church rules etc.). Such religious ways lead us to duty over love and process over faith. Even though faith and love are taught within the religious structure, the structure will always take precedence. This in turn causes us to serve man over God, which keeps us from the fullness of salvation.

The thought by many in the Church is that when we come into salvation we are given the potential to be blessed. The teaching then comes down to how to get what we desire from the Father and how to keep the devil from taking what we receive, if we can receive it. The Gospel is Good News. The Good News that we have in Jesus is that we are now part of the family of God and we have received all that Jesus has received. If it is received then it is given. If what we have need of is already given to us, then this would call for a completely different approach to receiving - namely learning to live by faith.

Sometime toward the end of next Summer (2010) or into the Fall (2010), there will be a financial collapse in this country (U. S. A.) that will affect the world. Others have prophesied that such events are coming, so the overall word is not new, but now we have a time frame. This gives us a year or more to prepare. In the U. S. A. you will need cash, food, water, and fuel to survive about two months. In other countries they may need to get by longer. Here it will take about two months for food and basic services to be made available in a dependable way by the government.

You cannot always tell it, but the Church is the most powerful force on earth. Many tell of many ways for the Church to be powerful, which is a waste of time because we already are powerful. There are many that teach how to overcome the enemy, but we have already overcome! When the Church operates as the Word of God instructs then there is no entry point for the enemy and all is full power to fulfill the mission of the Church.

If there was ever a time that the Church needed to stand in the fullness of its authority - it is now. The problem is that the Church is not always ready to stand in our authority and ability. To excercise authority in the Spirit we must first excercise authority over ourselves. From relationship issues to complaining there are many areas of life that weaken us. If we are weak individually, then we will be weak when we come together.

To receive answers we must believe. To believe we must know that we are loved. When we know the love that God has for us to the point that we live in the expectation of His love, we will receive for there is nothing to hinder our faith. Faith is more of a response than a process. Fear comes from not knowing love and faith rises from love. We can try to believe but our faith will never rise above the level of our knowledge of God’s love.

Answers, We all want answers. God has promised to answer us. Often our lives do not match up with the promise. What can we do to live in the promise of answered prayer? We can get to know God through His Son Jesus. Yes, the more we grow in intimacy and knowledge with Jesus, the more answers we will receive. It is easy to understand why if we look at it all through the love of God.

Why did Jesus die to set us free? That man could be free. Free from the Law, freedom from sin, as well as freedom from the effects of sin. This freedom is already provided and all it takes to enter into is faith in Jesus. The challenge is to live in the freedom that we have in Christ. To have freedom but not live in freedom makes as much sense as having food but starving to death! Our mindset is too often linked to the ways of bondage, but when we see Jesus we feel the freedom that awaits us.

To be in Christ we have to remain in Christ. Simple. To live with someone you must live with someone. Most believers would rightfully say that they believe and are connected to Christ in a vital relationship, but are we fully connected? Are there areas where our prayers are no longer answered and as a result we turn to others for answers? Are there roots of bitterness that have sprung up in our lives and while we say that it is all in check, are they taking their toll on our faith? When we are fully connected to Jesus His fullness flows through every area of our lives and every area is healed, filled, and free.

Much is being said today about how the Law brings blessing. Such is true, but with the blessing in the Law comes cursing. God has always desired to bless us through Grace. God is a giver. He freely gives. His desire is that we believe that He is a giver. People use the Law to make God a paymaster instead of our Father. God has always blessed those that simply believe Him. The Law did not change that as even under the Law God spoke to and through many that it was by faith that we would receive His blessing. Grace gives us blessing. Through the grace of God we are brought into the promise of God. In Grace the promise is guaranteed to us. In Grace there is blessing without cursing and beyond what the Law ever promised.

We can easily understand how to follow the Law, but as we are no longer under the Law then what do we follow? We follow faith. Faith always demands a response and that response is the obedience that God is looking for in every believer. Rules are easy to make up and they always sound good to the flesh, but our spirit lives by faith. When our inner man believes, he not only wants to respond - he must respond. When our flesh, or outer man keeps him down then we are living in the flesh and seek rules to measure our righteousness. When our spirit triumphs over the flesh and responds to faith then we are living by the Spirit and we will receive the promise!

Prayer. We are tied to it more than we know. Yet many still stumble around through prayer and feel inadequate to pray. Prayer is to be easy. It is simply talking to God to make our needs known to Him. There are no real rules governing what you can or not say, or even over what you can or cannot ask. True prayer is from the heart and if the heart is bound in rule and regulation then what comes forth is not the heart but the rule. Prayer is a ministry of grace and grace allows expression. Our Father wants to hear the desires of our heart. If He has not heard that, then He has heard nothing from us at all.

There is an obvious promise to agreement. There is great power in agreement because to come to agreement is to come near to the working of God. Agreeing is more than everyone wanting an answer and it is more than just anyone agreeing with you! The working of agreement is the working of like, true faith agreeing on a desired end with an agreed plan of how it will be allowed to work. Agreeing to the end is easy. Agreeing to how can be quite difficult. God is in agreement as to the end and as to how. To be like Him we must be as well.

It is all of grace. Yet grace is so misunderstood and even hated by many that serve God. The fear of sin binds so many from enjoying life in Jesus. God loves grace. Jesus came full of grace. Every promise is given through grace. Grace is not something to be maligned and mocked. It is by grace that we are saved! Do many use the terminology of grace to cover their living to the flesh? Oh yes, but making up your own way is still missing God, even if you use religious terms. We cover it all as we refresh our understanding of grace.

A little faith goes a long ways! Our faith needs refreshing. When we set our hearts to know Jesus we can return to works without even realizing what we are doing. As we look at the message of faith we can let go of all works and just live in the fullness of grace. Faith is the requirement for everything in Jesus and so we must keep our faith built up, fired up, and going up!

It is the time of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. We look into why this is the event of history. We can say the event because the coming of Jesus to earth, His life, His death, and His resurrection are all tied together and one without the others means nothing. His birth is nothing to us if He did not die for our sins. His death is meaningless without His resurrection. Everything that we have from God in Jesus depends entirely upon His resurrection.

Maturity in Jesus is the place of revelation and wisdom. To the mature belong the greatness of the Kingdom. We live in a church culture that seeks popularity over maturity. This is not only to the hurt of the Church but it is perilous for the world! Popularity means nothing and opens the Church to error. What God has freely given the Church is more than we have ever grasped and the fullness of it all is only obtainable by the spiritually mature. Only those that will grow up in spirit can receive in fullness the revelation of the Spirit of God. Yet all is still found through simple faith in Jesus.

As we continue in going deeper we stay with maturing. We look at more of the practical side of maturity. While maturing in Christ is relational there is evidence of our maturing that can be seen. Often we must break out of an immature mindset or even leave a culture of immaturity. The fullness of the Word belongs to the mature. It is impossible to move closer to Christ without taking up scriptural “meat.” The only question is are we mature enough for meat?

A deeper relationship with God through Jesus is not just the right of the spiritually mature, however those that grow closer to God will mature. It is the spiritually mature that will find the greatness of the promises and power of God. To the mature comes the certainty of not being lulled away by deceitful doctrines and through the snare of emotional rule. In maturity we find the completeness of the promise. The maturation process of the believer is clearly outlined in the Word and as with all things in Christ, it is not a burden. All is freely given, we choose whether we will receive or continue in our own ways. Those that seek to know God more deeply have already chosen to mature.

Where we start with God is where we end, in faith that He is and that He rewards those that seek Him. All that is from the start to the end is that same expression of faith and expectation that can only grow deeper as we grow in our relationship with God through His Son Jesus. To mark our journey we should see that we are growing in peace, joy, and in understanding righteousness. These are not steps but the product of our relationship with God. If we believe that God is all that He claims and that He rewards those that desire Him, then our actions based on that belief will bring us into a deeper relationship with God. The faith that begins the journey is the faith that we find at the last.

Too many believe that going deeper in the Lord is for only the few that have a special call on their lives or have found some area of perfection. Nothing could be further from the truth. The way to the Father has been opened forever by the finished work of Jesus! Our perfection is in Christ. The deeper relationship with God that so many feel is outside their reach is also completely in Jesus. As long as His sacrifice is enough, (and it will always be enough), then there is nothing preventing us from knowing God, even the deep things of God except our desire for God.
